Unique mid century religious themed folk art in vintage condition.
Based on the Cyrillic alphabet used, I presume it must be from Russia or Eastern Europe. On the back side, the date is noted as 1963.
The hand decorated carved wood frame is intact, showing some wear that is consistent with its age. The cover is acrylic and not glass.
It measures 71 cm (28") wide and 76 cm (30") tall with a depth of about 2.5 cm (1"), weighing slightly over 5kg unpacked.
