Hand-painted Maruhon Ware bowl from Japan in vintage condition, showing signs of wear consistent with its age.
Based on the maker's mark on the underside, this piece is possibly from before the 1940s. Maruhon ware china was produced between the 1920s and 1950s, and the post World War II items would have 'Occupied Japan' markings.
There are no chips or repairs, but there is crazing, which is expected, and some discoloration on the inside. The colors are vibrant and the glazing is highly smooth to the touch.
It measures 22 cm wide, 12 cm deep and 8 cm tall, weighing about 400 grams unpacked.
