Antique hand painted 1930s genuine Staffordshire English majolica parrot pitcher by Shorter & Sons in good vintage condition.
It is 22 cm tall, 17 cm wide beak-to-handle, and 10 cm deep, weighing about 600 grams unpacked.
It was quite possibly made while Clarice Cliff was at the factory. The underside has the impressed 'SHORTER ENGLAND' mark with an impressed '30's".
There are no chips or repairs. There is a surface hairline crack on the inside of the rim that is not visible fom the exterior side, and there is also crazing throughout that is normal for its age.
