Rare antique porcelain decorative tray in vintage condition, depicting a cottage landscape scenery.
Signed by the artist, Arthur Claude Strachan (1865 - 1929), and titled 'Blossoms of Spring'. The underside is marked 'VICTORIA'. Below the cottage to the left is the title and to the right is the artist's signature.
Arthur Claude Strachan was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and was known for his watercolor paintings of landscape scenery, cottages and villages.
There are no chips, repairs or noticeable crazing. There is some wear on the gold trim around the edges that is normal for its age.
The tray measures 28.5 cm long, and 18 cm wide with a depth of 1 cm, weighing about 460 grams unpacked.
