Rare studio pottery cement bottle vase with two glass inserts and raised relief fish theme in vintage condition.
It is 33 cm tall, 25 cm wide and 15 cm deep, weighing a hefty 3.8 kg unpacked.
There is some surface wear and scuff marks that are age consistent. The flaky look on the paint is intentional, and the concrete body, which makes this piece very heavy, has a kind of dusty and organic texture, when you hold this piece in your hand. I think this piece has been made to have the look and feel of something that has been recovered from a ship wreck. The fish theme reminded me of dolphins playing under the glass insert sun in the sky.
I didn't notice any cracks or repairs in the concrete body or the glass inserts that are positioned in alignment to let light shine through.
