Original signed and framed gold leaf on masonite painting by the listed California artist, LES PARISCH, in vintage condition.
The framed size is 41 cm wide, 49 cm tall and 4 cm deep. The artwork within the frame is 28 cm wide and 36 cm tall.
The artwork is in vintage condition, and is being sold as is & as shown in the pictures. There is some age-consistent spotting and discoloration on the frame. The back of the frame has been wired for hanging.

About the artist:
Les Parish was strongly influenced by art that he saw in temples during the Korean War. He researched old manuscripts to learn and master the Asian art of painting on gold leaf. His works have a strong Asian influence in their themes and execution. He is one of the two men in America who has successfully used this art technique, and the other man is a student of his.
Les Parisch's works are exhibited in various collections of fine art including the collections of Louise du Pont, Hoagy Carmichael, Johns Manville, Sr., the Stanford Museum, Edward G. Robinson, Kansas City Conservatory of Art, St. Clair Museum.
