Identification & Dating:
Backstamp: Based on the backstamp, this piece was manufactured by Thomas C. Wild & Sons in England, likely between 1927 and 1935. The "Royal Albert Crown China" mark with the crown and "England" was specifically used by the T.C. Wild company from approximately 1905 to 1935. The specific crown style and layout are characteristic of the late 1920s to early 1930s period.
Pattern Number: The hand-painted red number 6166 is the pattern number. During this era, many Royal Albert patterns were only assigned numbers rather than formal names.
Transition: After 1935, the company replaced "Crown China" with "Bone China" in their backstamps.
Condition:
There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There is age-consistent wear on the gold trim. Both the cup and the saucer ping. There is no visible crazing.
