Highly collectible and hard-to-find Ukranian folk art decorative ceramic wall plate in good vintage condition.
These plates are meticulously hand decorated by filling over sketches with amber stones of various shades and sizes, creating a unique, mosaic like appearance.
This plate is depicting a popular Ukranian folk hero, Cossack Mamay (Kozak Mamay), shown with a traditional oseledets (shaved head with a lock of hair), long mustache and a thoughtful expression.
It measures 24 cm (9 1/2") in diameter, weighing about 750 grams unpacked.
It is in good vintage condition without any chips, cracks or repairs.
