This striking hand-carved stone sculpture is a beautiful example of contemporary African art, likely crafted by Shona artisans from Zimbabwe.
Carved from a single piece of serpentine stone, it features a unique "unity ring" design that beautifully contrasts the raw, natural exterior of the rock with a highly polished, stylized center.The central figures depict two giraffe heads meeting in a mirror-like embrace, symbolizing connection, harmony, and the bonds of nature.
The piece is 15 cm tall, 13.5 cm wide and 4.5 cm deep, weighing about 700 grams unpacked.
It is in good vintage condition without any signs of damage or repairs.
