Vintage Chinese Shiwan mudman ceramic figurine.
This hand-sculpted pottery piece shows a reclining monk (Lohan, Arhat, or Jigong) resting on a green banana leaf while holding a palm fan.
It is made using the traditional Shiwan mudman style: the clothing and the leaf base have a shiny, colorful glaze, while the skin areas (face, hands, torso, and feet) are left unglazed to show the natural brown clay texture. The underside features a green felt protective pad added to prevent surface scratching.
It is 7.5 cm tall, 18 cm wide and 7 cm deep, weighing about 400 grams unpacked.
