Vintage 1970s Salvador Mallol porcelain figurine from Valencia, Spain, featuring an 18th-century style courting and hunting scene modeled after traditional German Rococo designs.
The bottom of the base has the original blue underglaze stamped Salvador Mallol logo (a stylized "M" intertwined with an "S" under an 8-pointed star) and reads "MADE IN SPAIN".
It is 18 cm tall, 17.5 cm wide and 12.5 cm deep, weighing about 750 grams unpacked.
Condition Report:
Figures & Scene: The main figures, animals, and decorative elements are free of chips, missing pieces, or structural repairs. The colored enamel glazes and hand-painted gold gilt accents remain clean and bright.
Underside Flaws (Please Read):
1. Hairline Crack: There is a hairline surface crack running across the underside of the base. This flaw is completely confined to the bottom surface, does not extend into the visible upper glazed scene, and does not affect the structural stability of the figurine when standing.
2 Glaze Bubbling / Blistering: The underside features a cluster of rough, bubbly glaze texture around the base hole. This is a normal, non-structural manufacturing occurrence caused by kiln gases escaping thick pockets of pooled glaze during the firing process.
