Antique 1930s English pottery Beswick Ware art deco vase, featuring Beswick’s highly collectible Shape No. 700 "Woodland" design that showcases a beautifully detailed, high-relief molded forest landscape.
The bark texture, layered tree trunks, and stylized autumn leaves are finished in a gorgeous palette of matte pastel greens, soft pinks, and yellows that perfectly encapsulate the British Art Deco era.
It is 23 cm tall, 14.5 cm in top diameter and 10.5 cm in base diameter, weighing about 850 grams unpacked.
The underside of the base is fully marked with the large, deep impressed factory shape number "700" alongside the classic arched circular ink stamp reading "MADE IN ENGLAND."
Very good antique condition with no post-production damage, cracks, chips or repairs. True to early 20th-century pottery manufacturing, the upper rim features a minor, smooth factory kiln flaw/glaze miss where the glaze parted slightly around an embedded speck of kiln grit during the original firing process (clearly shown in photos and pointed at with a red arrow).
