Rare Antique MZ Austria Footed Centerpiece Bowl – Hand-Painted Victorian Pink Roses.
Exquisite porcelain footed gondola/boat-shaped centerpiece bowl, produced by the renowned Moritz Zdekauer (MZ) factory in Altrohlau, Austria, featuring a rich, deep maroon/burgundy gradient glaze that frames two hand-painted floral cartouches.
Each decorative window showcases a classic Victorian composition of soft pink and deep magenta cabbage roses nestled against a creamy yellow background. The entire piece is elevated by four ornate, heavily gilded scroll feet and finished with fine gold filigree accents along the scalloped edges and undulating rim.
The underside features the authentic, faint dark overglaze MZ Austria two-headed imperial eagle hallmark, securely dating this collectible piece to the era of 1884 to 1909.
It is 6.5 cm tall, 18 cm wide and 10.5 cm deep.
CONDITION REPORT:
Beautifully preserved good antique condition without any chips, cracks or repairs. The hand-painted roses remain remarkably vibrant. The gold trim on the rim and the gilded scroll feet show age-appropriate light rubbing and shelf wear that only adds to its authentic antique character.
