Beautifully detailed vintage mudman ceramic folk art figurine, crafted in the iconic Shiwan (Shekwan) pottery tradition with highly detailed, vibrant high-gloss glazes on the clothing—rich blues, deep chestnut browns, and soft sage greens—juxtaposed against the unglazed, natural matte texture of the clay for the characters' skin.
The unglazed underside features the authentic, hand-incised export mark: "CHINA WanJiang", along with original artisan inspection marks etched into the raw clay prior to firing. This specific lettering points to a production era during China’s late 20th-century economic reopening (circa late 1970s to 1980s).
It is 17.5 cm tall, 14 cm wide and 10 cm deep, weighing about 1 kg unpacked.
Very good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The glazes are bright and glossy.
