An exceptional piece of vintage Czechoslovakian art glass, designed in 1959 by the celebrated glassmaster Jan Beránek, and hand-sculpted in freeform at the historic Škrdlovice glassworks.
The piece showcases the iconic Sommerso technique, featuring a rich golden-amber core beautifully suspended within a heavy, thick ice-blue base. Because each vase was hot-worked entirely by hand without a mold, its asymmetric pulled lobes and deep recesses form a unique, one-of-a-kind sculptural silhouette.
