Vintage 3-piece hand-carved wooden monkey figurine set, featuring a playful, caricature-style interpretation of the timeless "Three Wise Monkeys" proverb (See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil).
Each separate piece is beautifully sculpted from a warm brown hardwood, showing rich grain variations and fine textural tool markings that highlight its unique artisan craftsmanship.
Each piece is approximately 15 cm tall, 5 cm wide and 9 cm deep.
The trio are in very good vintage condition without chips, cracks or repairs. The wood is smooth and has a polished sheen. Please note that the backs of the monkeys' heads feature raw, deeply chiseled tool gouges from the hand-carving process, which are intentionally left this way and are not defects.
