Matching pair of 1970s vintage studio art pottery wall plates.
Dated 1979 and signed with the artist's mark "ELT2", these unique triangular plaques feature an eye-catching, vibrant monarch butterfly perched alongside hand-painted red poppy flowers.
The front showcases a beautiful raised and textured glaze technique on the wings over a warm, speckled yellow-orange background. The reverse side is equipped with three built-in hanging holes designed for wall mounting.
Whether hung side-by-side, stacked, or flipped in alternating geometric patterns, this rare matching set makes a legit mid century statement. Alternatively, they can be used as catchall dishes on side tables.
Each plate is 27 cm tall and 27 cm wide, weighing about 900 grams unpacked.
