Large mid century 1950s Fenton art glass centerpiece bowl, featuring the highly sought-after pink hobnail overlay pattern.
This beautiful piece was crafted using Fenton's iconic cased glass technique, featuring a vibrant, glossy pink opalescent interior layered over a solid white milk glass core. The exterior boasts a beautifully uniform, raised hobnail texture, terminating in a heavily stylized, double-crimped ruffled rim that sweeps up into two elegant flared ends.
At a generous 28 cm (11 inches) width, this is a rare, large-scale format perfect for use as a dining table centerpiece, console display, or statement fruit bowl.
CONDITION:
Very good vintage condition. The glass retains a brilliant, high-gloss fire-polished shine. The interior is immaculately clean with a smooth, internal glass swirl line is present from production in the interior center, certifying its hand-crafted mold history. The underside features a smooth, factory-molded indented collar base typical of early unmarked Fenton pieces (pre-1970). No chips, cracks, or damage to the delicate hobnail tips or crimped edges.
