Vintage Royal Doulton Henry VIII Large Character Jug (D6642) – 1975
Royal Doulton character jug depicting King Henry VIII. Designed by Eric Griffiths and issued in 1975, this large-size jug is part of the highly collectible "Henry VIII and His Six Wives" series.
It features incredible hand-painted detailing, from the rich maroon and brown tunic to the iconic gold-trimmed black Tudor hat. The handle is masterfully sculpted in the likeness of a stone castle tower. The underside features the official Royal Doulton lion crown backstamp, model number D6642, the 1975 copyright, and the original hand-painted artisan number mark.
