Vibrant artisanal "Fat Fish" sculpture from the renowned studio The Fenix (formerly Raku Art) in South Africa.
Hand-crafted individually decorated, this collectible piece was created using the traditional Raku firing process. The intense thermal shock creates the dramatic, smoky black crackle lines visible throughout the glossy, multi-colored scales, ensuring that no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
The flat, unglazed base features the hand-carved "FX" workshop monogram, the country abbreviation "SA" (South Africa), and the personal signature of the studio artisan, "Jan".
